9 teens were reported missing from a troubled youth ranch, yet they may have been the true victims as they are suspected of being mistreated by those trusted to enforce values upon them!

The 30,000 acre long, Tierra Blanca Ranch, near Demming, New Mexico, is currently being investigated after reports surfaced that the missing teens escaped due to harsh neglect:

“New Mexico State Police on Friday issued an Amber Alert for the nine teens aged 13 to 17 after they went to the Tierra Blanca Ranch, to investigate following reports that boys were beaten, shackled for days and denied food as punishment. The establishment came under increased scrutiny last month after one of the teenagers, Bruce Stager, 18, was killed when he was thrown from the back of a pickup truck,” reported ChicagoTribune.

Although it is still not confirmed how the four boys made their way home, the remaining five will continue to be on the Amber Alert until they are confirmed safe as well, stated new Mexico officials. The owner of the ranch operator Scott Chandler was directed by authorities to present the 7 missing boys, yet they were no where to be found when they began searching the property, he is now under investigation as well.

Its sad and scary that those that are supposed to be considered mentors could inflict such pain on those looking up to them.
