Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that the script for Terminator 5: Genesis reads much like that of Terminator 2: Judgement Day, in a recent interview.

The actor, who is set to reprise his role as the iconic cyborg in the fifth installment of the sci-fi series, spoke with Collider about the film while promoting Sabotage.

Schwarzenegger has read the script and judging by that he suggests that fans can expect something along the lines of Terminator 2.

“Terminator is going to have the exact same feel. The way it reads, it has the same feel of Terminator 2,” he said. “It’s big. There’s hardcore action and it has some really great visual effects in there, but not over the top.”

To reiterate his point about refraining from the overuse of VFX he suggested that it would not have the kind of treatment that viewers experienced with Thor. The director of Thor, Alan Taylor, is helming Terminator 5.

“It has good special effects, but just enough to say, ‘Wow, where did that come from? How did they do that?'” he added.

While most believe that the film title for the fifth in the franchise is Terminator: Genesis, Schwarzenegger suggested that one couldn’t be quite sure until the film came out.

“I don’t know what the final title is going to be. As you can see with Sabotage, when I read the script, it was called Ten. You never know,” he said. “Today, studios switch titles because everything has been tested. They’ll give an audience five titles, and then they’ll pick one.”

Terminator 5 is scheduled to release in July 2015.
