The two unrelated suicide attempts took place a little after 7 p.m. The first was when a 29 year old man jumped from the south walkway on the New Jersey side of the bridge. At the scene, they found his backpack which was left behind. Just that quick minute later, a 25 year old woman climbed the railing on the Jersey bound side of the bridge, the woman was stopped by people who quickly jumped out of their cars to grab her.The man succeeded and is presumed dead, the woman now faces drug charges after being hospitalized and police finding heroin on her.
