Apple has a new patent for a Smart Cover for your iPad that allows you to see your notifications on the cover. Even when your iPad’s screen is protected with this accessory you will be able to see your notifications. Awesome!

The Smart Cover will use built-in LEDS and have transparent panels. The notifications will look like message bubbles for text messages. No set release dates yet.
