Chris Paul is playing no games with current Clippers owner Donald Sterling! Ever since his racist remarks were leaked to the world a few months ago, the NBA has been doing all it can to remove Sterling from control of the Clippers. Previously Chris Paul and Doc Rivers had mentioned the idea of boycotting but that scenario went somewhat quiet for a while. With the end of summer approaching fast and training camps arriving before we know it, CP3 is once again talking boycott if Sterling still has control of the team when players report back. The way Sterling is handling things in the courtroom it is very likely he still will be the owner for a while before anything is settled and that does not sit right with Paul.

CP3 seems very set on boycotting his own team and seems to have the support of coach Doc Rivers who also seems like he would participate in a boycott of the Clippers as well.

“That’s something me and Doc are both talking about,” Paul said Thursday after coaching his AAU program, CP3. “Something has to happen, and something needs to happen soon — sooner rather than later.”

Interim Clippers CEO Dick Parsons testified earlier in the week in state court that Rivers told him on multiple occasions that he doesn’t think he wants to continue coaching the team if Sterling remains in control of the franchise.

“We’re all going to talk about it,” Paul said. “We’re all definitely going to talk about it. Doc, Blake [Griffin], DJ [DeAndre Jordan]. It’s unacceptable.”

Training camps start early October and the NBA will once again move to terminate Sterling as being part of the league but as we have seen already that is easier said than done.
