Past Superbowl performers have included Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, and Prince…but now fans are petitioning for this successful artist to take the stage at next year’s Superbowl. Hit the jump for details.

This artist generates millions of views on YouTube, has been popular since the late 80’s, and has millions of fans on social media…and that artist is Weird Al Yankovic!

A fan from Washington, DC created a Change.org petition that has collected nearly 25,000 signatures so far. Yankovic is known for making parodies of the biggest hits. He’s remade songs from Michael Jackson, Nirvana, and most recently he redid Pharrell’s international smash “Happy”.

Via Bleacher Report:

For decades Weird Al has entertained fans, young and old, with his popular clever parodies and unique sense of humor. Having him headline the Super XLIX Halftime show would not only be overly accepted by the millions of views, but it would remain true to the standards and quality of the show business we have come to love and respect out of this prestigious event.

Sounds interesting but unlikely!
