When the Cleveland Cavs picked Andrew Wiggins with the first pick in the NBA draft, at the moment the last thing on anyone’s mind would be that he was going to be traded. A couple weeks later Lebron announced he was going to return to the Cavs and everything changed right then and there. Suddenly you started hearing about Kevin Love and it seemed Wiggins would be the odd man out, and he now officially is. With the trade for Love and Wiggins agreed upon and just waiting to the end of the month, fans are wondering about getting their money back for the Wiggins jerseys they bought. The NBA is helping, but it isn’t much help. Hit the jump.

If you do not want your collector’s item Wiggins Cavaliers, the NBA is offering refunds if you bought it from the NBA Store, but ONLY if you bought it directly from them. Those who bought Wiggins jerseys @NBASTORE can get a full refund (minus shipping) if jersey is in original condition w/tags.

That is already a problem because you know by now most fans have no idea where the tags are cause they probably wore it once or got it for someone as a gift. Also most fans likely bought their jerseys directly from retailers, or other websites, so they are out of luck? It will be up to those stores and websites to do refunds or exchanges.

This should be a heads up for the NBA and all pro leagues. Don’t be so thirsty to cash in on the next thing. Make sure it is a sure thing first.
