Over the weekend it was revealed that Kevin Durant resigned with Nike even after Under Armour’s massive endorsement offer. It now seems that Under Armour found a hot replacement as the face of their brand, supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Under Armour released a teaser video for Giselle’s campaign. Hit the jump for details.

Via Complex Sports:

The announcement of Bündchen’s deal comes after Nike countered Under Armour’s massive offer to Kevin Durant, and won. The deal that landed a big-time name (albeit, a non-athlete) couldn’t come at a better time.

So what does this mean for Under Armour and Bündchen? For one, Under Armour is clearly taking its campaign seriously, perhaps even trying to put itself on the same level of scale as Nike and adidas, and making a big push in its women’s business, which does roughly $500 million in sales and makes up about 30 percent of its overall apparel sales every year. However, besides the bid for Durant and a few other names on its roster, Under Armour is tapping into the sense that athletics exists outside the confines of pro sports.

For Bündchen, it means another presumably large paycheck that will secure her spot in next year’s Forbes’ list of The World’s Highest Paid Models, the same index that reported the model’s $47 million income before taxes and fees in 2014. In short: It’s a win-win for both the model and Under Armour.
