Now that Jeter’s season has wrapped up [ Big Congrats to him], NY is going to be looking for a new person to cling to. Considering all of the drama and chaos going on in the NFL the “go to guy” maybe Giants own QB Eli Manning. Manning has been the ideal candidate for the “face of NY Sports” and the pressure is on.
“He hasn’t won as much as Jeter did. But he has won two big games as big as New York has ever had in anything. Thursday was Jeter’s night, without question. The bigger night, going forward, might have been Eli’s, if the Giants really are for real. Jeter isn’t close to being the player he used to be. Eli was Thursday night.” This could pull in either directions but, with his great reputation as a player and person this is a great time for Eli Manning to take charge and capture NY’s Heart.
