MLS made and announcement this past week that Chivas USA is putting together a team. The team that will return will actually be a new team, one that sheds Chivas’ dour history and starts fresh. Previously this was considered one of the worst teams. Usually two negatives make a positive, maybe this time the outcome might work out as such. Vincent Tan was knighted one of “The worst owners in sports”.
“Tan also publicly feuded with the manager as well as the man in charge of player personnel. Granted, those two men — Malky Mackay and Iain Moody — were later found to have exchanged racist, sexist and homophobic text messages, showing that sometimes there are no good guys in an argument.” I’m not too sure where or how he can come back from all this and build a solid team. But, we shall see!
