Looks like the rumors are more true than they are false. The story of an engaged J. Cole, to girlfriend Melissa Heholt, has been circulating for some time now. While some hearts may be broken [cough], it’s a happy occasion for a couple who have been in love for 13 years.

Heholt was spotted out and about doing some shopping for her special wedding day to the “No Role Modelz” rapper.

Cole’s fiancée, Melissa HeHolt was photographed in New York City wedding shop L’Fay Bridal. The boutique owner posted a smiling Heholt to Instagram with the following caption.

Congratulations to our newest bride #weddingown #weddingdress #lfaybridal #nycbride call us for your appointment in our new location

These two have been keeping their relationship under extreme wraps, but thanks to an interview with HipHopCanada.com, we’ve come to learn that Cole accepts what relationships and marriage has to offer with open arms.

“I feel like relationships are a beautiful thing, period. Marriage is just a relationship to me. In my experience, when you’ve been in a relationship for as long as I’ve been in one, there’s no real difference. It’s just a piece of paper that validates what was already real. In marriage you got to go through the same struggles as a relationship, that’s if the relationship is real, because there’s a lot of non-real relationships going on in the world right now.”

First comes marriage and then comes the baby in the baby carriage…
