Sometimes players get upset and walk off the court before the game is over but for a coach to do it, is even worse, especially when it’s a two-point game and your team has one last possession.

After George Hill hit what would be the game-winning layup for the Pacers, the Wizards had 2.7 seconds and a prayer. It wasn’t much, but it was something.

As Rasual Butler heaved from halfcourt, Wizards coach Randy Wittman was already walking toward the locker room, looking up briefly as the ball hit the backboard.

2.7 seconds might not seem like a lot of time but crazier things have happened in basketball.  Wittman didn’t seem to have any faith in his team to make a last second shot.

The Wizards currently have a 40-32 record with the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference.  The loss to the Pacers marked their fourth loss in a row.
