Most of you guys know that the first batch of Apple Watch pre orders comes out today and for most of you it will arrive at your doorstep.

But if you’re like me and are waiting to hear some reviews from your friends and family, you might want to reconsider spending an excessive amount of money on the watch, no matter what they tell you.

The starting price for the watch is $349 for the Sport model and $17,000 for the gold plate edition. With the amount of money some of you will spend you will think that not many things will stop the watch from functioning, but reports from iFixit, found that the watch wont be upgradable.

iFixit statement.

“We hoped to confirm rumors of upgradable internals — but had no such luck. The S1 SiP [internal System in Package] is encased in resin, and is further held in place by a mess of glue and soldered ribbon connectors. In short, basic component replacements look nearly impossible.”

The future isn’t looking too bright for Apple Watch users. If the device is unsuitable to upgrade then there’s no future for the watch. However, I’m sure no one with the Apple Watch will be looking to upgrade at this time. Just keep in mind, that new apps only work on the latest software, so this can be a big problem in the long run.
