Earlier today I posted an interview with Gennady Golovkin aka GGG, who said he would destroy Floyd Mayweather if they ever got in the ring together. Of course Mayweather wasn’t going to let that fly; now we have his response.
Mayweather is already trading shots with Golovkin telling TMZ Sports the guy’s just running his mouth for a payday, and he’s way out of his league.
Golovkin — who’s knocked out his last 20 opponents — said Mayweather would be his “dream fight” and is 100% certain he’d win if they ever got in the ring together.
Now, Mayweather’s camp is issuing a response saying, “Everyone in boxing wants to fight Floyd. It’s the biggest payday they could possibly have.”
“[Golovkin] has never fought a top opponent in his whole career, we’re surprised you guys would even have him on your show to be honest.”
Sounds like fightin’ words.
Mayweather need to just fight him to show him he aint got nothing
I am a Mayweather fan, but GGG would just be way to big for him. It would be a bad idea for PBF to fight him. He doesn’t have anything left to prove, if he’s truly about to retire.
The Berto fight for Mayweather would be a fitting ending for a coward like Mayweather.
