Kobe Bryant is 37-years old, playing in his 20th NBA season, and has gone through a multitude of injuries especially over the past couple years. With all that combined, it’s no surprise that he’s been struggling so far this season. But it doesn’t matter what we know about the Black Mamba, in the social media age “you’re gonna get these jokes”.
Sports Illustrated’s The Cauldron released a video illustrating Kobe Bryant’s shooting woes set to NBA Jam’s classic interface and announcers dissing him saying things like “what was that?” and “he should retire” after each missed shot.
Kobe is currently averaging 15.8 points, 4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game but he’s also averaging 32.3% from the field and is taking an average of 15.5 shots per game. The Lakers are currently 0-4.
I’m not a Kobe stan but even I don’t want to see him go out like this. Hopefully he gets into a better rhythm as the season progresses; it’s still very early.
