Earlier this week, the Better Business Bureau gifted Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics company with an F rating, in response to racking up 137 customer complaints since its inception nine months ago. I felt this was a bit unfair – as 137 complaints out of what’s likely a LOT of items sold (the stock is consistently sold out) seems like a small number, on top of the fact that some of the included complaints were over a brush issue that had already been addressed and rectified. Turns out, it was a bit of pettiness on the BBB’s side, and it has since been changed.

TMZ reports that the bad grade came after BBB asked for sales numbers from Kylie Cosmetics, as the ratio of sales to complaints is what determines the rating. Since they didn’t respond, BBB GUESSED the numbers and just gave them an F. Like, bro… Even worse, companies that are less than a year old aren’t even supposed to have a grade! (That is, unless they’re worse than a C – but you shouldn’t just be allowed to guess and give them such a horrible, potentially business-crippling grade.)

In response to the rating this week, Kylie and co. reported the numbers, which turned out to be “huge.” (No shock there.) Now there is no rating, as it is not below a C. TMZ reached out to BBB, who adds that IF it were to rate her company now, it would fall between a “C and B.”
