Two officers were shot and seriously wounded in Americus on Wednesday morning. As a safety precaution, Georgia Southwestern was shut down. The shooting took place around 10:15am.
UPDATE
1 officer has just been pronounced dead. 32-year-old Minguell Kennedy Lembrick, was involved in a domestic dispute when he shot the officers.

Students are being told to remain locked down. None of them have been injured. The suspect is still at large at this point. Americus Police Chief Mark Scott says they are looking for Miguell Hembrick.
