“Black-ish” star Yara Shahidi got blessed by Michelle Obama big time as she received a letter for college. In a recent interview, she got a chance to speak on how great it felt for Michelle to do this for her.
“She is very amazing and such a supporter, which is something very surreal to say,”
She says Michelle also helped her giving her a “go get em” on a AP exam. Shahidi says,
“I know when Malia Obama announced [she was deferring], she got a lot of slack, but I feel like what’s interesting is I know so many people that are deferring. It’s more than to just roam around or just sit down and stare at a wall, but it will also give me an opportunity to work.”
This was an awesome deed done by Michelle Obama.
