Trayvon Martin’s Mother Pens Heartfelt Letter To The Family Of Mike Brown #Ferguson

It’s been a little over two years since the fatal death of teen, Trayvon Martin. Many of us, although didn’t know Martin’s family personally, experienced his loss all the same. Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton became the face of mothers who had lost a young black son in one of the worst ways. Even with the difficult process of losing a child on her shoulders, Fulton continues to show her support in other ways. Today, the death of Michael Brown has united individuals from all around the world to speak out about the brutality young black men endure from local police departments. Along with the rest of us, Sybrina Fulton feels the pain that Ferguson, Mo and Brown’s family feels. She pens a lengthy letter to the Browns, “providing support to families that have lost a young child to senseless gun violence regardless of race, ethnicity or gender.” Have a read down below.

Tyga then took on the challenge…but make sure you watch the video closely to see who’s pouring water on him. Yep, that’s Kylie Jenner! Oh boy, could something really be brewing here?! Either way, T-Raww nominated Drake (who accepted,) Nicki Minaj and August Alsina. Iggy Azalea (who was nominated by Jennifer Lopez) nominates T.I., Rita Ora and Charli XCX. It would seem that Justin Bieber is not all douche! While he’s hit news plenty of times for his bad-boy behavior, JB is also known for generously donating to a worthy cause. During the 2014 Young Hollywood Awards, Justin won the Champ of Charity Award for his 200+ wish granting ways in the Make-A-Wish foundation. While we’re sure it was an honor to receive the trophy, JB decided to invite 10-year-old, Grace Kesablak – who is battling cancer – on stage for her to accept the award. After an amazing rally and march with his family at Crenshaw High School the day before, Trayvon Martin’s life was celebrated yesterday with a power brunch, hosted by Trayvon’s mother, Sabryna Fulton, for The Trayvon Martin Foundation. Omarosa, Malaysia Pargo, Eva Marcille, Devon Franklin, Miss Diddy and more came out to support an amazing cause and remember a life gone way too soon. “This charity is very near and dear to my heart and I’m proud to announce Hard Rock’s donation of $200,000 to The Clara Lionel Foundation, as well as showcase my shirt and spotlight merchandise,” Rihanna said at the Hard Rock Cafe in Paris on Thursday, where she unveiled a fan-designed tee-shirt as part of Hard Rock’s Artist Spotlight Series. In the new partnership with Hard Rock International, Hard Rock donated $200,000 to Rihanna’s charity, and Rihanna donated several outfits to Hard Rock’s memorabilia collection. Nas Starts College Scholarship Fund!

Award winning rapper Nas has teamed up with Seattle based company, Koru, to launch a new college scholarship fund. The focus is to help students transition into the workforce with financial support.
