After three years off the music grid, Adele came back better than ever. Her highly anticipated album,’25’ was released just three days ago and it has already been confirmed that it has sold 2,433,000 copies and counting. With three days left to go in it’s first week, ’25’ is on the fast track to sell 2.9 million units in the first week. ’25’ has sold a record breaking number of units so far, beating out the the previous holder for most copies sold in one week. The previous record was held by *NSYNC when they sold 2,416,000 units of No Strings Attached back in 2000. Congratulations, Adele!

Adele is very, very lit right now. The superstar singer hasn’t released an album since 2011’s 21, so the hype around the forthcoming 25 is insane. So much so, early sales projections based on pre-orders have the first week numbers looking to be in the realm of 1.3 to 1.8 million! Yes, million! This would make for the biggest debut from a female artist of all time, beating out the record previously held by Britney Spears when Oops!…. I Did It Again sold 1.5 million in its first week in 2000. Congratulations, Adele! Just last week Adele dropped her new single “Hello.” The highly-anticipated comeback single sent fans into a frenzy as it was the first song released by the British singer in three years! Fans were so excited for the release of the song and the video that it was watched 27.7 million times in just a 24 hour period. This broke Vevo’s record for “most views in 24 hours” knocking out Taylor Swift’s 20.1 million views for Bad Blood. The single “Hello” is expected to land in the number one spot on the Billboard charts next week, and the album 25 is already doing crazy numbers. Reports indicate that the upcoming album has already racked up 200,000 units on iTunes in preorders. The album will be available November 20th in stores and online.
