Tony is working on a new duet album and enlisted Amy and her voice to redo his song “Body and Soul.” Amy was ecstatic about doing the song and in an interview, which would be her last, she opens up about the song. Last night MTV paid tribute to Amy Winehouse during the VMAs. Amy passed away at age 27 on July 23, 2011. Amy’s friend Russell Brand, who wrote a heartfelt letter after Amy’s death, shared the story of his friendship with Amy. Kanye West Records New Version Of Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black”
While Amy Winehouse was alive, Kanye West made it known how much of a big fan of Winehouse’s music he was. Yeezy also expressed his interest in working with Amy and never got the chance to do so because of her untimely death. Because he didn’t get a chance to record with Amy, Yeezy has announced that he will record a new version of Amy’s hit “Back To Black” in her honor.
