NBA: Doc Rivers Is Not Sure If Chris Paul Will Play In Game 1 Of The Western Conference Semi-Finals

After coming off one of his greatest playoff performances and leading his team on to the next round of the playoffs, Chris Paul may have to come to the realization that he may miss the first game of the western conferference semi-finals against the splash brothers Golden State Warriors. (Video) NBA: Steph Curry Says Him & His Pops Would Destroy Doc Rivers & Son Austin In 2-On-2

Steph Curry was on Jim Rome when the topic of father and son came up. Rome asked him about his father Dell, and how things would go in a game of two-on-two between another father & son team of Doc Rivers and Austin Rivers. Steph really didn’t hesitate to say it wouldn’t even be a contest, which is true. Steph is on a total different planet than the underachieving Austin Rivers, and while the dad’s are older now, Dell would outshoot Doc with no problem. Would be fun to see.

NBA: Doc Rivers on Draymond Green: “It makes me happy that I could get someone mad”

If you haven’t been following the Warriors vs. Clippers (well mainly Draymond Green, Dahntay Jones and Doc Rivers) saga let me catch you up really quickly.

(Video) NBA: Cavs Beat Clippers So Bad That Doc Rivers Personally Apologizes To Young Clippers Fan

You know as a coach that your team looked real ugly on the court if you find yourself apologizing to fans. Last night late in the game as the Cavaliers were blowing the Clippers out of the arena, coach Doc Rivers noticed a young Clippers fan sitting front row even though the game was in Cleveland. Doc felt genuinely bad that one of their young fans who won’t get to see them in person too often didn’t get to see much of a show tonight. Doc let him know next time they will put on a better show but more importantly he probably made the kid a Clippers fan for life.

(Video) NBA: Doc Rivers Says No Special Treatment For His Son Austin After Being Traded To Clippers

This might be the toughest coaching job of Doc Rivers career. Not because his team is bad, but now his son Austin Rivers will be playing for him after a trade, making him the first player in NBA history to play for his own father as coach. Rivers will likely not play much but there is a pressure here that most of us can’t feel because at the end of the day it seems Doc is trying to save his son’s young career after not adjusting well to the NBA and it could be tough to separate coaching feelings from father feelings. Doc is the ultimate professional but still, family is life.

(Video) NBA: Doc Rivers Denies Clippers Players Don’t Get Along, Calls Reports Lies

Reports continue to swirl in regards to Los Angeles Clippers players not getting along. The topic came up last year numerous times between Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. This season has been quiet until more recently as the Clippers started to struggle, people wondered what was the cause. Again, a report came up saying players just sincerely do not like each other and it is affecting chemistry on the court. Coach Doc Rivers wants to put an end to that theory.
