Mayor Mike Bloomberg has announced the evacuations of hospitals, low areas, Zone A and the Rockaways by 5pm on Saturday in preparation for Hurricane Irene. Gov. Chris Christie Announces Parkway And NJ Transit Shut Down
Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg have announced that the MTA will be suspended on Saturday at noon, now NJ Governor Chris Christie has announced that NJ Transit will be suspended at noon on Saturday as well.
