I was fairly late, but just recently I was able to sit down and watch Lee Daniels: The Butler – awesome movie! I told myself that I would have to get more involved in the director’s other work, which includes “The Woodsman,” “The Paperboy” and “Precious” (I did see this one). No soon after, this news drops – all of these releases Dame Dash has invested in. However, he’s seen not one red cent in return. In comes the lawsuit papers. Dame is suing Daniels for a hefty amount. Brian Banks story captured everyone’s hearts when he was released from jail after serving five years for a rape he did not commit. The high school football star had already committed to USC when his dreams were ruined. He was released after his accuser admitted she made the whole thing up. Following the outpour of love Banks received, he also got a shot with the Atlanta Falcons but was later cut. Now he’s got an even bigger opportunity, the chance to bring his story to the big screen with an amazing director.

Remember Gabourey Sidibe aka the girl who played “Precious?” Well, she still looks the same (sorry to burst your bubble) and has been caught smooching it up with movie director Lee Daniels as the two left Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood on Friday. Mariah Carey is taking on the role of a slave named Hattie Pearl in Lee Daniels’ upcoming film, “The Butler.” The movie also stars Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Cuba Gooding Jr, Lenny Kravitz, Robin Williams and Jane Fonda. And although she plays the wife of Forrest Whitaker’s character, a butler who served 8 presidents over a course of 30 years, it seems as though the spoiler is that her character may be stepping out on the relationship.
