Did Rick Ross Take It Too Far With His Date-Rape Lyric? This Radio Station Seems To Think So!

The lyrics in a new Rick Ross verse have been the topic of many a Twitter conversation as of late, as it’s quite appalling what he’s attempting to glorify in song. “Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it,” he raps on Rocko’s “You Don’t Even Know” featuring himself and Future. “I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” Basically, he drugged her up and then had sex with her while she was unaware of her surroundings. Insane! A Detroit radio station is now taking a stance, deciding to ban both his music and Lil Wayne’s for their violent and disturbing lyrics. Of the latter, he made a reference to the tragic story of Emmitt Til on Future’s “Karate Chop,” likening his brutal beating to sex. Check out the statement WUVS-LP The Beat made on their stance below. I think it’s amazing what they’re doing! I love both Wayne and Ross, but there needs to be some more responsibility put in place. They’re public figures, after all!

Damn, Lil Wayne’s Estimated First Week Sales Are No Where NEAR His Last Album

Lil Wayne’s Carter IV didn’t SEEM like it had a crazy buzz back in 2011, and many wondered if it would live up to the album that truly solidified Wayne’s spot in the game, Tha Carter III. The latter sold one million copies in its first week in 2008, something that was not being done at the time with the way record sales were going…especially with a rapper. But lo and behold, Wayne pushed 964k of C4, just a few units short of a milli. Now, what about his latest offering? Unfortunately, it’s not going to fare so well. It could be the lack of a strong single, as “No Worries” has been in rotation since last summer. Maybe it’s his health issues preventing him from promoting it the right way? Maybe it’s that the fans just really identify with the Carter series…being that his 2010 release, I Am Not A Human Being, only sold 110k copies the first week. However, Wayne was behind bars at that time and could do nothing to promote it, on top of the fact it was only released online, and not in stores until about 2 weeks later. So, how much will I Am Not A Human Being II do? Find out the current sales projections below!

(Photos) Just Getting Out Of The Hospital & Lil Wayne Is Already Doing WHAT ?!?!

After being in a hospital for about a week, Wayne has decided to come out and take on one of his happiest hobbies at the moment – SKATEBOARDING! The YMCMB rapper made an appearance at the Annual Tampa Pro Skateboard Contest this past weekend. While in attendance Wayne, took pictures, signed autographs for fans, and expressed his excitement for meeting Elissa Steamer. It seems like Wayne had a grand ol’ time. Drop down bottom, because it looks like Weezy has a clean bill of health to me.
