T.I. Pens Open Letter To America In Reflection Of Mike Brown’s Death – #Ferguson

The death of Michael Brown continues to loom in the air and remind many Americans of the treatment received from law enforcement. Celebrities from J. Cole to Nelly have expressed their feelings on being a black man in this society. Now, T.I. pens his emotions on the ordeal. “America has created a monster,” T.I. writes. “We were brought to this place, unaware of our own cultures, religion and traditions, therefore, we created our own,” he continues. Of all the celebrities, J. Cole has remained actively involved in the protests in Ferguson, Mo. The Dreamville artist released a track titled, “Free“. Shortly thereafter, Cole visited the city so that he too could be a part of history in the making. Trayvon Martin’s Mother Pens Heartfelt Letter To The Family Of Mike Brown #Ferguson

It’s been a little over two years since the fatal death of teen, Trayvon Martin. Many of us, although didn’t know Martin’s family personally, experienced his loss all the same. Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton became the face of mothers who had lost a young black son in one of the worst ways. Even with the difficult process of losing a child on her shoulders, Fulton continues to show her support in other ways. Today, the death of Michael Brown has united individuals from all around the world to speak out about the brutality young black men endure from local police departments. Along with the rest of us, Sybrina Fulton feels the pain that Ferguson, Mo and Brown’s family feels. She pens a lengthy letter to the Browns, “providing support to families that have lost a young child to senseless gun violence regardless of race, ethnicity or gender.” Have a read down below.

The destruction in Ferguson, MO continues. Over the weekend, it was announced that the city would enforce a curfew for its residents. As these ordinances and other things come into effect, supporters of Mike Brown make statements, rally and voice their opinions on the matter, but it wouldn’t be called controversy without rebuttal opinions. Ferguson’s Police Dept. Identifies Mike Brown’s Shooter As A Darren Wilson

It’s been almost a week since 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a local Ferguson, Mo police officer. The incident has caused plenty of outrage – involving tear gar and rubber bullets – all across the globe and it hasn’t stopped yet. The #DontShoot campaign on twitter had everyone from the hacking group, Anonymous to young teens protesting and wondering why the officer who shot Brown remained a mystery.
