Besides the huge surprise of the night with the Celtics trading KG & Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets, there was one other big surprise last night during the NBA draft. “Experts”, and I use that term lightly, had been saying all along that Kentucky Forward Nerlens Noel would be the #1 pick of the NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jay-Z’s alliance with the Creative Arts Agency (CAA) to create Roc Nation Sports has already made a splash on the scene. So far he’s signed Yankees’ All-Star Robinson Cano, Giants star wide receiver Victor Cruz, Jets quarterback Geno Smith and Tulsa Shock star Skylar Diggins. After divesting his ownership of the Brooklyn Nets, Jay-Z is now permitted to add NBA players to his management roster and rumors are flowing as to who the first person will be.
