This year’s inductees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced and alas Terrell Owens wasn’t on the list, again.  We all know he has the stats and should already have a gold jacket, but the media does the voting and he didn’t have a great relationship with them to say the least.   Owens himself said the voting system is flawed.  Owens good friend Chad Johnson was asked about it and didn’t hold back.

Terrell Owens was denied a Pro Football Hall of Fame induction in his first year of eligibility despite his incredible numbers (153 TD catches, 6 All-Pro teams, 1,078 receptions).  He’s up again this year and says if he doesn’t get in on his second try, then their credibility is in question and it might be time to take a long look at how the voting is done.

The 108 modern-day nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2016 announced Wednesday night and among them are Brett Favre, Terrell Owens, and the most controversial, Darren Sharper.


NFL: Darren Sharper Still Eligible For Pro Football Hall of Fame Despite Rape Convictions

Former NFL player Darren Sharper was convicted on a several different counts of sexual assault in four different states and was sentenced to nine years in federal prison.  Despite all that, Sharper is still eligible to be elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  His numbers would certainly put him in there but would he actually get votes?!


NFL: Marshawn Lynch Believes His Treatment of the Media Will Keep Him Out of the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Marshawn Lynch’s reluctance to speak with the media is well documented.  In fact his unwillingness to do interviews is more documented then any words he’s actually said.  After racking up $100,000 in fines, Lynch changed his no speaking tactic to “yeah” and “nope” answers.  He did however open up to his former Seahawks teammate Michael Robinson in an on camera interview that aired on NFL GameDay First and NFL GameDay Morning.  In the interview he revealed that his relationship with football scribes could prevent him from ever having a bust in Canton.


(Video) NFL: Warren Sapp Apologizes to Michael Strahan After He Makes it Into the Hall of Fame

NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp was the biggest advocate against Michael Strahan making it into the Hall of Fame as well.   According to Sapp, Strahan’s resume didn’t stack up and wasn’t worthy of such an honor.  Well the voters didn’t agree and last night Strahan was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame at the NFL Honors ceremony.
