NBA: Clippers Considered Boycotting Game 4

With allegations coming out that Los AngelesClippers’ owner Donald Sterling was recorded in a conversation in which he made several racist remarks, the league has been reacting to the alleged situation all day long. Players, pundits, and people around the league have spoken out about the potential of such things being said, especially by a team owner. As for the players who are paid by Sterling, they considered responding in another way.

Many people are reacting to Donald Sterling’s racist comments against black people.  The backlash of course has brought a lot of attention to the Clippers vs. Warriors game 4 at the Oracle arena in Oakland.  While the Clippers players themselves decided to wear black arm bands and socks to show solidarity, Warriors fans came up with a great sign for Sterling.

The words of LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling has reminded us that racism is alive and well and sadly now we have another case to report.


NBA: NAACP No Longer Giving Donald Sterling Lifetime Achievement Award

Amid news of Donald Sterling’s racist remarks towards black people, what was even more shocking is that he was soon to be awarded a Lifetime Achievement award from the NAACP.  What’s even worse is this would have been the second time he would get the award in six years from the LA chapter.  Of course after the backlash from the audio and the news of the pending award spreading, the NAACP has decided against it.


NBA: Michael Jordan Says He’s Disgusted & Outraged By Donald Sterling’s Remarks

Many people have spoken out against Donald Sterling’s racist comments towards black people.  Influential people such as Lebron James, Kobe Bryant and even the President of the United States Barack Obama denounced Sterling’s deplorable remarks.  Legendary player and now owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, Michael Jordan declined to comment yesterday before their game against the Heat but today he released a powerful statement.
