Xzibit Set To Star In ‘Empire’ Next Season

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from West Coast rapper, Xzibit. With his last album already four years behind us, the 41 year-old is embarking on a new adventure and taking up a role on FOX’s hit series Empire. According to Deadline, reports Xzibit aka Alvin Joiner will star as Leslie Johnson, “a well-known gangsta/drug dealer/extortionist/businessman-type who also goes by the nickname “Shyne.” Shyne, is an artist turned artist manager and record label owner who will go head to head this season with Terrence Howard’s character Lucious Lyon character. Xzibit is just one of many guest appearances set for the forthcoming season including, Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Courtney Love, Snoop Dogg and more. Empire will return to air March 30th.

You better have Xzibit’s conditions up to par when you book him for a show…or you MIGHT just get a steel chair in your face! A promoter found that out the hard way last night during a concert in Adelaide, Australia, when apparently X to the Z experienced a horrible car ride from the airport to the hotel, and to add insult to injury, had no car at ALL to take him to the venue and was forced to take a cab after he couldn’t get the promoter on the phone. Below is what happened when X finally found the guy backstage at the venue. Sheesh! For his part, the promoter says Xzibit was “treated like a king and any claim saying otherwise is BS.”
