Free-agent big man Kwame Brown is headed to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to his agent.

Agent Mark Bartelstein announced Friday that Brown is joining the Sixers on a two-year deal worth an estimated $6 million and with a player option in Year 2.

The Sixers made a hard run at Brown in free agency before last season, but the former No. 1 overall pick wound up signing with the Golden State Warriors instead.

In March, while injured, Brown was dealt to Milwaukee as part of the trade headlined by Andrew Bogut and Monta Ellis.

Brown, now 30, played in only nine games last season because of injuries.

The Sixers will be his fifth team since leaving theLos Angeles Lakers in February 2008 as part of the Lakers’ acquisition of Pau Gasol from Memphis.
