Doris Freyre lost custody of her 14-year-old daughter, Marie April 16th. The single 59 year old mother had six herniated discs and carpal tunnel syndrome in both her wrists which is why the courts said she was unable to take care of Marie, who had cerebral palsy and suffered from life-threatening seizures. But sadly 12 hours after Marie was taken from Doris, Marie was found died, from dehydration and not properly medicated. Click below for the whole story.
When Doris was told what happen she said “”I started crying because I knew it would be too much for my daughter on that trip,”…. “There was no doctor there to receive her, only nurses. They didn’t send a report on how to give her food or meds. They didn’t give her food or water until late hours of the night. My family has been destroyed.”
This is a horrible story. May she rest in pest and condolences to her family.
What do you think about this? should Doris sue?

Suing social services won’t bring her daughter back but this has been an issue with them for years. Just because someone is disabled doesn’t mean they are unfit to care for their children. She did it for years and look what happened when in the care of health professionals; dead in 12 hours. Discriminatory revocation of parental rights needs to stop and more oversight is needed in these cases. But we also need more info, how was the daughters health to begin with when she was removed?
