Aaliyah’s family has made it very clear that Lifetime’s upcoming Aaliyah biopic is just not good enough for her memory. Not only has her family released a statement publicly denouncing any involvement in the film, but now her cousin has come out and is expressing how he would want the movie to be made. In an interview with V-103’s The Ryan Cameron Morning Show With Wanda Smith, Aaliyah’s cousin and the former president of Blackground Records, Jomo Hankerson revealed that he’d like to see Avatar‘s Zoe Saldana play the late singer in a major movie film.
“I think she can pull off the acting part of it and she’s obviously gorgeous and beautiful,” he said.
