This Kendrick Lamar influenced Salad chain, Sweetgreens has been selling merchandise with the phrase “Beets don’t Kale My Vibe” since 2013. The slogan makes refrences to Kendrick Lamar’s song titled “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” off of his debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city.

Kendrick Lamar will be performing at Sweetgreen’s Sweetlife Festival next month and the salad chain has created an actual Kale and beet salad in honor of the Compton MC.

Here is what Sweetgreens had to say about their partnership with Kendrick Lamar:

“We’ve been a big fan of this pun for a few years now, and we’re excited to turn it into a reality as part of our menu. The ‘beets don’t kale my vibe’ salad includes organic wild rice, shredded kale, roasted beets and red onions, local goat cheese, roasted chicken, honey-glazed pecans and our housemade balsamic vinaigrette. Since Kendrick is passionate about supporting local communities, we’ll donate 10% of the proceeds to FoodCorps, our sweetgreen in schools charity partner.”
