Mother’s Day is the day children are supposed to show appreciation to their mothers with balloons, candy, cards and hugs. But three mothers got a call from President Obama himself. Watch the video after the jump.
President Obama decided to make Mother’s Day a day to remember for three special mom. The three women has written letters to the commander-in-chief and then were told to expect a call on Wednesday from a White House representative.
The women could not believer their ears when the President of the United States voice came through the receiver.
Patricia Church, a 50-year-old single mother of four, exclaimed “No way!” Obama laughed “Way.”
They were in such a state of shock that the president even offered to be quizzed to prove it was indeed him.
“You still don’t believe me? No it’s me! Okay, give me a test … Ask me about anything,” the president said.
One of the mothers said the experience was ‘surreal.’
Obama expressed his appreciation for all mothers saying, “I know how tough it is to raise kids and do right by ‘em. If it hadn’t been for my mother, I certainly wouldn’t be here,” he said. “You’re doing the most important work there is.”
