Again, people decides to pick and choose the most foolish of battles to fight. Despite all of the Halloween costumes created in the world that were meant to disrupt a culture, including the Black face and the Ray Rice dragging a doll around costume, the one that’s most upsetting is the Caitlyn Jenner Halloween costume.

Retailer Spirit Halloween’s costume, are the creators of the newest celebrity; and depicts on their website a man wearing a bootleg version of the ‘fit (s)he wore on the cover of Vanity Fair as well as a sash with the words ‘Call Me Caitlyn’.

The description on the website anytimecostumes.com says: “You probably won’t break any Twitter records when you wear this outfit like Caitlyn did, but you’ll be sure to get a few laughs out of your friends and the other guests at the get together.”

Caitlyn supporters are in an uproar because of the costume. They are so angry that they decided to start the Stop Exploiting Caitlyn Jenner with a Transphobic Costume petition on Change.org.

To make a costume out of a marginalized identity reduces that person and community to a stereotype for privileged people to abuse,” the petition’s creator, Addison Vincent writes. “In this case, if you follow through with production of a Caitlyn Jenner costume, cisgender people will purchase it to make fun of her and our community.”

The petition is 137 signatures away from its 2500 signature goal.
