Supermodel Beverly Johnson, best known for being the first African-American woman to appear on the cover of Vogue, is also now known as one of Bill Cosby’s alleged rape victims. She stopped by Good Morning America to talk about her new tell-all book, The Face That Changed It All, which details her experience of being allegedly sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby.

Beverly is just one of more than two dozen women who have come forward accusing Cosby of sexual abuse. She said, “It was almost like a family member had betrayed me,” adding, “It was such a huge sense of betrayal for me. These women gave me the courage to come forward.”

When asked by GMA’s Amy Robach what she would say to Cosby now if she had the chance, she said, “I forgive you.” Robach also asked her how she thinks Cosby should be handled and she replied,

“I’m going to leave that to the justice department,” Johnson answered. “And I just think that he’s a lightning rod for a much bigger conversation — and that conversation would be the rape culture in America.”
