“Because of Ricciardi’s and Demos’ incredible vision, commitment and keen eye, audiences around the globe became completely captivated by the personal stories of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey and the unique lens their experiences provide into the criminal justice system,” Lisa Nishimura, Netflix VP of Original Documentary Programming, said. “We’re thrilled to be continuing our longstanding relationship with the filmmakers, and look forward to giving our global viewers eagerly anticipated updates on this story.”

Per Complex:
“The new chapter of Making a Murderer, Netflix said Tuesday, will take a closer look at the “high-stakes post-conviction process” by introducing viewers to Avery’s new legal team, led by Kathleen Zellner. Zellner, speaking to Newsweek earlier this year, said her team had already identified “a couple” new suspects in the controversial murder of Teresa Halbach.”
