Vado’s No Longer On Interscope…And Here’s Why!

It’s been pretty quiet for Vado after his killer intro to the scene in 2010, followed by his signing to Interscope in early 2011. Since then, we haven’t gotten much from the Dip Set-affiliate and it turns out, part of it is because he’s not even on the label anymore! Grand opening, grand closing, huh? Did Azealia Banks’ Lastest Controversy Get Her Dropped From Interscope?!

Rapper/singer Azealia Banks is NO stranger to controversy…as the newcomer has traded shots with everyone from veteran DJ Funk Flex to someone who opened doors for artists like her (Nicki Minaj) to fellow newcomer Iggy Azalea and many more in just her short time in the game. Her latest came this weekend, starting with another newcomer, Angel Haze, and spilling over with famous blogger, Perez Hilton. The latter resulted in most of the controversy, as she called Perez (who’s very vocal about being gay) a homophobic slur. All of this resulted in a new rumor that she was dropped by her label Interscope before she could even put out her debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste. M.I.A. Album Due In April!!! See Who She Blames For Her Delay!?!?

M.I.A. has been working on some new music and says her album is slated for an April release, but she blames her label for her absence. Apparently the label wasn’t all too happy with the music she was making, saying that it was “too positive”, they wanted her to darken up her sound. 50 Cent Announces Another New Album

At some point today, 50 Cent is set to drop his newest release 5 (Murder By Numbers), but he revealed late last night that it will now be free, so you can kind of consider it more of a mixtape or a “street album”. Referring to it as an appetizer, Fif announced the main course will come in November in the form of an official release on his label, Interscope. Guess they finally got their issues straightened out!
