“Straight Outta Compton” Is Inaccurate According To Jerry Heller; He’s Coming For Dr. Dre’s Pockets
Months after Straight Outta Compton, the most anticipated film of the summer has released and ranked in $200 million, Jerry Heller, former manager of NWA, has decided that there were too many inaccuracies depicted; he’s filed a lawsuit with the request of $35 million in compensatory damages and $75 million in punitive damages. Hip Hop mogul, Dr. Dre is being sued by his housekeeper because she claims that her almost $2k/per week salary was not enough for all of the pain and stress she endured while on the job. She says he and his wife did not intervene when she was being bullied and and overworked by other in the house. The housekeeper was fired while in the hospital for work related reasons. With all of the attention that the legendary West Coast rap group NWA has been getting as of lately due to the Straight Outta Compton biopic, even people who are not diehard fans of the group are sparking an interest to know more. I came across a super dope throwback video of the NWA boys getting interviewed by Fab 5 Freddy from Yo! MTV Raps. When he asked the group who came up with the name for the album, DJ Yella said it was all him right before he was interrupted by Eazy-E – who then proceeded to curse at Yella and make it known he was the brains behind the title. All you hear is Freddy say, “That’s kind of raw” because it got so awkward that he had no idea what else to say. LMAO, CLASSIC! This should have definitely been in the movie.
