(Video) NBA: Say What? OKC Fan Who Hit $20,000 Shot May Not Be Allowed To Get Paid?

One minute your celebrating winning alot of money, and the next your having to fight to actually see it. Cameron Rodriguez, a Thunder fan, who hit a half court shot last week to win $20,000 may not be able to collect because he is a college athlete. He plays basketball at a small school in Kansas and because he is affiliated with college sports, he may be deemed that he had an unfair advantage to capitalize off his skills. The damn shot was from half court! The fact he plays college basketball had nothing to do with that. He may affect his schooling because it could be looked at that he accepted money as a college athlete which is a no-no, SMH. This story is terrible. I hope it works out for him. (Video) NBA: Kendrick Perkins Dislocates His Finger & Tries to Fix it Himself

As part of the NBA Global Games the Oklahoma City Thunder are playing their first preseason game in Istanbul, Turkey against Fenerbahce Ulker.  After undergoing an additional surgery the Thunder will now be without starting point guard Russell Westbrook for at least the first month of the regular season.  They lost another starter today (for far less time though) as Kendrick Perkins dislocated his finger and apparently tried to fix it himself, unsuccessfully of course.  Check it out after the jump.

NBA: Russell Westbrook Says The Thunder Don’t Need To Fill James Harden’s Slot

When the Thunder traded James Harden rather than pay him a lot of people thought they were making a big mistake.  It would be difficult to find someone who can do what the former Sixth Man of the Year did for the team and while Kevin Martin was helpful offensively that was about it.  Now Kevin Martin is also gone and Thunder don’t have an x-factor off the bench.  According to Thunder star guard Russell Westbrook, they don’t need one.  Read more after the jump.
