A’s outfielder Coco Crisp was arrested by Scottsdale police on suspicion of DUI late Tuesday night, Comcast SportsNet has learned through a source.

Crisp was driving a 2009 Rolls Royce Phantom Drop Head Coupe, according to the source.

The A’s clubhouse was closed Wednesday because of a scheduled team meeting with MLB Security, a routine part of spring training. Crisp was at the facility, according to a report.

Shortly after 11 a.m., the A’s released the following statement:

“Coco Crisp was arrested and detained early this morning under the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.  He was released from the City of Scottsdale Jail this morning and arrived at Phoenix Municipal Stadium on time.
