A New york judge has ruled that ex-pro football star Lawrence Taylor is a low-risk sex offender.
Taylor pleaded guilty in January to sexual misconduct and patronizing an underage prostitute. He was sentenced last month to probation.
Rockland County Court Judge William Kelly said Taylor was not targeting children. He also said Taylor is unlikely to ever commit the same crime.
Taylor has said the girl told him she was 19. She actually was 16.
Prosecutors argued for a level 2 designation. Instead, the judge chose the lower level 1 designation. The decision means Taylor’s photo will not be posted on the online registry of sexual offenders.
The NFL Hall of Fame member did not attend the hearing Tuesday.

It is nothing more than appaulling to see how fame and money is what in reality influences and dictates judgement in our so called justice for all judicial system. Legal rights, fair defense, what a joke! My son was in the same predicament, the only difference is that the prostitute involved, was the neighborhoods prostitute. More then enough information to support our claim, was brought into court. including email from her account, descriving her sexual behavior. Testimony given by a court inverstigator who interviewed every male with whom she sustain sexual relationships, sometimes three individuals at a time all of legal age, some older than my son. All of that was igonored. nevertheless he was forced to plea bargain to aggravated rape. sentenced to 1 yeat and 8 months to 5 years, a statory sentence, but follwed by an aggravated classification, does that make sense? Do to many difficulties in in prison, he has been in there for 4 and a half years. was placed on level 2 in the sex offenders registry.his life in in constant danger in prison due to the charge. braking his civil rights he was recently sent to Attica correctional facility. A facility famous for the uncontrolable abuse of correction officers. On March 31st, He was brutally beaten by 5 correction officers,in which he suffered severed injuries. He was choked until unconsciounsness, woken up and the beating continued. Now the covere up begings. It seems like we
re living in a country were civil rights do not exist, according to Atticas, conduct. I only found out thanks to another inmate that wrote, the cover up begins.
This is business as usual for this facility. My son is only 27 years old, was a college student at the time, had his whole life ahead of him. Now with this charge he is done, for life. How unfortunate, not to have fame and money. the pain and anger overwhelm me. Is there ever going to be any real justice, in this so fabulous judicial system. Do to my limitations in writing this article, I could only mention a few of the consequences my son is suffering for a crime he did not commit. While this man was given the privilege,I call it disrespect,of walking away free, of no consequense, and having a no show to his hearing. Money talks, obviously. We are so hypocrytical and dare to pretend justice is of any existance, in this so called Democratic country, were we are all bound to obay and obey, the same laws, and given “EQUAL RIGHTS, so said and written in the biggest lie, our Amendments Rights. Lets be “REAL”
