Ferris Bueller/Matthew Broderick: Since Bueller, Broderick has most notably voiced adult Simba in “The Lion King,” starred on Broadway in “The Producers,” “The Odd Couple” and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” He’s won two Tony Awards and has 3 children with wife Sarah Jessica Parker.

Ferris’ Girlfriend/Mia Sara: After Bueller, Mia most notably starred opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme in “Timecop” and in the short lived show “Birds of Prey.” She most recently appeared in 2011’s “The Witches of Oz” (photo). She has a son with Sean Connery’s son and a daughter with the son of Jim Henson.

Ferris’ Best Friend/Alan Ruck: After “Bueller,” Ruck’s biggest success came playing Stewart on “Spin City.” He also starred on Broadway in “The Producers.” He has two children with ex-wife Claudia Stefany and a daughter with current wife Mirielle Enos.

Ferris’ Sister/Jennifer Grey: One year after “Bueller,” Grey would have her biggest role to date in “Dirty Dancing.” In 2010 she won the 11th season of “Dancing with the Stars.” She married actor Clark Gregg in 2001, they have one daughter.

Principal/Jeffrey Jones: Jones continued to work in films like “Ed Wood” and “Beetlejuice” and on TV’s “Deadwood.” In 2003 Jones pled no contest to paying a minor for the purpose of taking sexually explicit photos. He was sentenced to 2 years probation and 250 hours of community service in 2010 for failing to register as a sex offender.

Boring Teacher/Ben Stein: After “Bueller,” Stein hosted his own game show called “Win Ben Stein’s Money.” He also did voice work on “Duckman” and “The Fairly OddParents” and is outspoken on political issues.

Principal’s Secretary/Edie McClurg: Edie continued to work as a character actress in projects like “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” “Small Wonder” and “7th Heaven.” She most recently appeared on an episode of “Desperate Housewives.”

Ferris’ Mom/Cindy Pickett: After playing Ferris’ mom, Pickett starred opposite Pauly Shore in 1993’s “Son in Law” and in the 1989 sci-fi flick “DeepStar Six.” Her most recent project is a 2010 TV movie called “Elf Sparkle and the Special Red Dress.”
