Nelson Mandela was laid to rest in his hometown of Qunu, South Africa, just a few days after his death at the age of 95. Strange that his death coincided with the release of a biopic about his life, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom. The biopic hit theaters less than a week before his death. The film, starring Idris Elba as Mandela, is based on Mandela’s autobiography, and goes through the journey of his early life to his 27-year prison sentence to his eventual South African Presidency.
