We all recall when LHHATL made it to the forefront of the scene, there was lots of drama surrounding the show’s cast mates such as songstress K. Michelle and her past dealings with music exec Mickey “Memphitz” Wright Jr. Well its not looking like his year. Aside from him currently being separated from his wife Toya Wright looks like he will take another ‘L’? Memphitz Wright loses in defamation lawsuit against K. Michelle & Mona Scott, see what did him in inside.

For years, Memphitz K. Michelle and Mona had been engaged in legal battle, stemming from when Kimberly Michelle Pate AKA. K Michelle first appeared on LHHATL claiming that Memphitz had both physically abused the singer/songwriter and embezzled some of the funds given to her by the record label to jump start her career. In the lawsuit Memphitz claimed that the duo falsely accused him, and were intentionally running his name through the mud. Well….looks like Memphitz’s own testimony told on him!

“Memphitz own words may have been his undoing.

In depositions, he admitted to a physical confrontation with K. Michelle in a Memphis hotel in 2009 and acknowledged that he spent money from Jive Record’s budget for jewelry. He also sent text messages threatening to murder K. Michelle’s son.

The judgement details how Memphitz put a pillow over K Michelle’s mouth to quiet her and her feeling he was trying to kill her was justified.

To win the defamation case, Memphitz had to really prove that he’s not a public figure and that the allegations against him were false.

Neither Memphitz, Mona Scott-Young or K. Michelle had comment at the time of this writing.”
