Like any celebrity, Ronda Rousey appreciates her time to herself. Earlier this week, Ronda showed up as a guest co-host on Sportscenter, and talked about the time she spent living out of her 2005 Accord.

On Sportscenter, Rousey explained that after she came back home from the 2008 Olympics, she struggled to find a job and make ends meet. But Ronda worked two jobs, part-time waitress, part-time receptionist and lived in her car in between.

She could’ve gone home, but it was a fight with her mother and a tremendous amount of pride that kept Ronda in the street for just over a week.

After the Olympics, I came home and I was at my mom’s while I was getting a job while I was looking for a place. I just got a job and me and my mom got into a big argument and so instead of going home, I stayed in my car until I found a place,”

she said.

Though it doesn’t seem like she struggled for long, Rousey said that there is no better motivation than being homeless.

“There’s no better way to get motivated than if you’re homeless. If you’re homeless and not hustling, you’ve got a problem because I was never more motivated to find a place than then.”

The UFC babe is scheduled to fight, Holly Holm on Saturday, November 14, 2015.
