Employees of T.I.’s Scales 925 restaurant are now suing him for backpay. Employees are claiming that he and his partner Charles Hughes have violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The lawsuit specially calls out Hughes stating that he deposits the payroll money into his own account which causes the employee’s paychecks to bounce. The employees say they have not been paid for overtime and have also been coerced to work off the clock. They said when they approached Hughes about the sketchy behavior, he simply ignored them. Sounds like T.I. needs to watch who he has a partner when it comes to business. For 12 employees to be suing? Something isn’t right here.
