So tonight is game 1 in the MLB World Series between the Chicago Cubs who’ve not seen a world series win since 1908 and the Cleveland Indians who are hot on the heels of the championship winning Cavaliers. So either way, it’s a big win. How about those fans though, who’s going to wrangle them in?

The Cavs brought a major sports title back to Cleveland after over 50 years this past June…so of course their ring ceremony and season opener are huge for Cleveland. Right across the way though, the Indians are starting game 1 of the MLB winner takes all World Series against the Cubs…a title they haven’t held since 1948. So stakes are high and of course so are emotions. Here’s what Indians owner, Paul Dolan had to say:

“It’s just an extraordinarily exciting time for the city of Cleveland and our greater community,” Dolan said. “Cleveland is alive in ways that it probably never has been, because we’re hosting a World Series Game 1 for the first time in the history of the franchise, and then add to that, across the plaza from us, the Cavaliers are opening their season with their ring ceremony. It’s just an unprecedented day for the city of Cleveland, so the excitement levels are off the chart.”

As for crazy fans? Yall bess’ ta relax. Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association President Stephen Loomis says that it will be an all hands on deck situation with uniformed and undercover police all over downtown. With the experience from the Republican National Convention as well as the Cavs parade, he is confident they know what to expect and how to handle things.

Good luck yall…all the way around. Right now, at the top of the 6, Cleveland is leading the Cubs 3 to zip. Who want it?!?!
