Even though a grizzly video was released this week showing more graphic details of Ray Rice hitting his wife, some fans, and especially female fans are still standing with him! They showed their support in droves last night prior and during the Ravens game with the Pittsburgh Steelers. I think more people expected jersey burning and negative talk but instead found quite the opposite. Fans seemed to be in a good mood and they were definitely making it a point to show they still love Rice. One woman who was interviewed even said Janay Rice deserved to be hit!! I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion but that comment is going to far to me. It is just getting worse and worse for Roger Goodell and the NFL as a whole. Another reason to doubt anything the commissioner has to say regarding the Ray Rice incident appeared yesterday as it was reported the NFL just reached out to the Revel Casino this week! They had claimed they spoke with them numerous times in the months prior but it appears that was another lie. Sports: Oscar Pistorius Found Guilty Of Culpable Homicide! Now Facing How Many Years In Prison?
South African Olympic star Oscar Pistorius was found not guilty of murder earlier this week in the death of his girlfriend, but he did not get away scott free. Pistorius was found guilty of “culpable homicide” which is the equivalent to manslaughter or negligent homicide here in the U.S. The Judge thought he was more than responsible for her death even though she does not believe he did it on purpose. He is now facing up to 15 years in prison, but he may also avoid jail time all together. Hit the jump.

I don’t know what it is gonna take for athletes to learn that smoking weed will never be worth potentially losing millions of dollars! There is nothing wrong with marijuana if that is your preference, but if you got that much money on the line it should be very easy to not smoke! San Diego Padres star Everth Cabrera learned that the hard way this morning as he was arrested and booked on DUI for driving under the influence of marijuana. A suspension from baseball will definitely be coming.
